Roxana Gomez MBA, MA

Roxana Gomez is a native of Colombia and has lived in the United States since 2012. Roxana graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration in August 2015 from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Seeking to be a better communicator, she sought and obtained her second Master’s in Communication in 2019. Her background includes three and a half years of experience at the Port of Corpus Christi as a Business Coordinator for Latin America. Her work played an important role at the Port of Corpus Christi, putting together the First Latin America Petroleum and Energy Summit in 2016 resulting in the attendance of over 50 international companies. She also led different successful donations campaigns to help those in need the most in her home country, Colombia. Those campaigns resulted in the collection of hundreds of new toys, clothes and shoes that helped over 3,200 families in Colombia. Also, Roxana worked for three and a half years at TAMU-CC Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center, where one of her main duties was to advise start-ups and small business owners in improvement to their economic growth. Roxana worked for the MBDA as a Senior Business Development Specialist for one year. Currently, Roxana is the Project Manager of the UTSA-Covid19 Business Resilience Center.

      Halbert Brown DBA(c), MBA,

      As a Certified Business Mentor, university professor, and strategic planning expert, Halbert has been helping a wide variety of small and medium-sized enterprises with start-up counseling, business resilience & planning, marketing & sales, strategic growth planning & management, and other entrepreneurship functions. Hal has more than 15-years of business management & ownership experience, 10-years business counseling, and seven years in adult education while working with a variety of retail sales business owners, manufacturing firms, human capital entities, general contractors, and IT professionals with a goal of business sustainability and resilience, excellence in performance and increased profitability. Halbert holds a M. S. Business Administration, B.S. Professional Aeronautics, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a B.S. in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College. Currently, he is working on his Doctorate in Business Administration at Walden University.
