Dedicated to helping minority entrepreneurs flourish and grow in today’s marketplace.
Welcome to the MBDA Export Center San Antonio.
Funded by the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and operated by the Institute for Economic Development at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The MBDA is an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce that promotes the growth of minority-owned business enterprises (MBE’s) through the mobilization and advancement of public and private sector programs, policy, and research. These businesses (MBE’s) are fast-growing, innovative, and represented in every industry sector in the United States. Our MBE clients are businesses owned by African Americans, Asian Americans, Hasidic Jews, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Alaska Native, and Pacific Islanders. MBDA helps create and maintain U.S. jobs by promoting growth and global competitiveness of large, medium, and small businesses owned and operated by members of the minority communities. Minority-owned firms (MBE’s) contribute over $1.4 trillion in annual economic output to the U.S. economy and directly account for 7.2 million U.S. jobs.
