The San Antonio MBDA Export Center provides Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) with export growth and global facilitation services. Our mission is to help minority-owned enterprises succeed as exporters to countries that have free trade agreements with the U.S. in Latin America.
The San Antonio MBDA Export Center is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and operated by UTSA’s Institute for Economic Development (IED). The San Antonio MBDA Export Center is one of four MBDA Export Centers across the nation.

The San Antonio MBDA Export Center has been very proactive in helping me understand the process of exporting, connect with American and Mexican trade organizations provide guidance in the international business development process. As a result, I signed our first international distributor in Mexico in May. They also introduce me to NOW account and assisted me in the application and renewal process. This tool has been tremendously useful for international transactions and will help me to free up cash flow.

The MBDA Export Center supported me in preparing an agreement with the client in order to identify the points to negotiate and close the pre-engineering and being awarded the turnkey construction of a slaughterhouse in Ecuador. The MBDA office keeps providing me assistance for all the steps of the project.
