Nominate an outstanding business for recognition during the MED Week celebration

Nominations of outstanding local, minority-owned businesses are being accepted for the 2016 San Antonio Med Week honorees. Nominations will be accepted until close of business, Friday, June 10, 2016.

Businesses & Champions may be nominated in the following categories:

MINORITY OWNED FIRMS

Minority Bio MED and Health Firm of the Year Award
Presented to a minority-owned company that has achieved notable medical equipment, and supplies manufacturing; pharmaceutical, and medicine manufacturing; specialized hospitals; medical and diagnostic laboratories; or scientific research, and development services market success.

Minority Construction Firm of the Year Award
Presented to the minority-owned firm that has achieved success in private or public sector projects and has exhibited revenue and job growth over a sustained two (2) year minimum timeframe.

Minority Exporting Firm of the Year Award
Presented to a minority-owned company that has achieved outstanding domestic, and global success that has led to increased market share, job growth, and customer satisfaction. The firm is a diversity advocate, and supports business expansion.

Minority Hospitality Firm of the Year Award
Presented to a minority-owned company that focuses on customer satisfaction that specializes in meeting leisurely needs that include lodging, restaurants, general tourism, transportation, event planning, services.

Minority Legacy Firm of the Year Award
Presented to a minority family -owned company that has been owned for at least fifty (50) years, and has exhibited high excellence, dedication, and accomplishment standards. It has achieved economic success, and has been a community economic driver.

Minority Manufacturing Firm of the Year Award
Presented to a minority –owned business that has achieved success in employing new, and innovative manufacturing sector techniques that led to a significant market share, job growth increase, and customer satisfaction.

Minority Retail Firm of the Year Award
Presented to a minority-owned company that specializes in selling goods and services to customers.

Minority Sustainable Energy Firm of the Year Award
Presented to a minority - owned energy firm specializing in promoting sustainable/energy efficient projects. These goods and services achieve success that results in environmental, quality of life improvements, and customer satisfaction.

Minority Technology Firm of the Year Award
Presented to a minority-owned technology company that has achieved notable success employing new, and innovative techniques/ideas that promote greater efficiency, and productivity, e. g. products, and or services.

Minority Veteran Firm of the Year Award
Presented to a Veteran owned minority company that has achieved outstanding success in increased revenue, job growth,and sustainability, market share, and customer satisfaction.

MINORITY BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CHAMPIONS

Banking/Financial Services Award
Presented to an individual or organization demonstrating outstanding financial commitment, and leadership to the minority business community, e.g. traditional, and or alternative working or investment capital.

MED Week Chairman’s Award
Presented to a group or individual that has shown consistent, and outstanding minority business enterprise advocacy, and plays an integral role in the creative, technical, or professional progress of minority business development.

Corporate Champion MBE Award
Corporate Champion Sponsor presents this award to one of its outstanding Minority Business Enterprise vendors.
